Job Title: Electrical Engineer II
About the JobDesign and implement reliable electrical power, automation, and process control systems that improve plant performance, safety, and operational efficiency in support of capital projects.
- Lead electrical and process control projects from concept through startup and commissioning.
- Develop and manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and cost-benefit analyses.
- Design, program, and optimize industrial control and automation systems.
- Collaborate with Process Engineers to improve process performance and control strategies.
- Evaluate, specify, and implement instrumentation and control technologies.
- Support power distribution projects, including system studies and capacity assessments.
- Coordinate installation activities with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Maintain and update electrical drawings, standards, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 5 to 10 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably within industrial manufacturing, process controls, or automation environments.
- Experience managing engineering or capital improvement projects.
- Experience with electrical system design, industrial controls, and PLC/HMI programming.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of Rockwell Automation hardware and software platforms.
- Familiarity with industrial networking and communication protocols.
- Experience with AVEVA/Wonderware software applications.
- Computer-aided drafting (CAD) skills.
- Knowledge of power distribution system analysis, including energy flow, arc flash, and capacity studies.
- Strong presentation, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to develop and implement process control strategies and instrumentation standards.
