Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary engineering and construction team responsible for developing, integrating, and delivering engineering solutions for complex electrical projects within the mission-critical sector. This role involves producing a wide range of project deliverables, including drawings, specifications, product selection, installation sequence planning, and commissioning testing/commissioning scripts.
  • Familiarity with NEC, NESC, IEEE, IEC, and local building codes.
  • Develop and produce conceptual design to construction documents, detailed equipment layout, single and three-line diagrams, grounding, and feeder routing with limited supervision by Senior Engineers, including the design or integration of the following:
  • Normal power medium and low voltage distribution systems
  • Emergency power generation and distribution systems, including UPS
  • Coordinate device locations with other trades, including mechanical, plumbing, or other (Architectural, Lab, Medical, Kitchen, etc.), including interpreting equipment requirements
  • Project specifications for all equipment and installation methods
  • Ability to design control wiring diagram and electrical interlocks schemes for protecting electrical equipment.
  • Able to size wire, conduit and overcurrent protection for HVAC and power applications.
  • Able to perform voltage drop calculations, calculate raceway and cable tray fill.
  • Properly size equipment, including, but not limited to switchboards, UPS and generator systems, distribution panelboards and motor control center loading.
  • Develop specifications and installation details of construction materials and equipment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of schedule constraints and information requirements to produce all electrical deliverables.
  • Develop and create Method of Procedures (MOP), and Sequence of Operations (SOP) to support construction execution effort
  • Documentation of design work in AutoCAD and REVIT in 2D and 3D platforms
  • Provide support of construction activities, including but not limited to, responses to Requests for Information, review of project equipment submittals, and technical support ofoperations management.
  • Research, prototype, and develop emerging technologies to implement the latest and best-in-bread capabilities to meet the customers' emerging needs.
  • Manage your time effectively and support multiple projects concurrently.
