Full Job Description
STV is seeking an experienced Electrical Department Manager to lead and grow our electrical engineering group at our Douglassville PA office. This role is responsible for managing a team of engineers and designers, overseeing project execution, maintaining technical quality, and supporting business development efforts.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in electrical power/design systems with proven leadership and team management experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Electrical Engineering Department, including engineers, designers, and support staff.
  • Oversee project delivery, scheduling, and budget performance across multiple projects.
  • Provide technical direction for design of medium- and low-voltage power systems, lighting, grounding, and related infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, etc.).
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (architectural, mechanical, civil, and structural) to deliver integrated designs.
  • Mentor and supervise engineering staff. Support professional development and performance improvement.
  • Review and approve engineering documents, specifications, calculations, and reports.
  • Support business development through proposal preparation, client interaction, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Manage staffing levels, workload planning, and resource allocation.
  • Serve as a technical representative in meetings with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.
  • 15+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience, including leadership roles.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution systems (MV/LV), protection studies, and electrical design principles.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary projects and engineering teams.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with transportation, industrial, or large facility projects.
  • Familiarity with software such as SKM, ETAP, Revit, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong background in specification development and construction support.

Compensation Range:
$156,456.65 - $178,807.60
