Role SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Electrical / Battery Engineer III to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and test innovative battery and energy storage systems, contributing to cutting-edge R&D initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive technical excellence, and identify opportunities for improvement across diverse power system applications.
Key Responsibilities- Apply engineering techniques, principles, and precedents to develop, design, modify, install, test, and evaluate electrical, electronic, mechanical, and communications systems.
- Review, analyze, and prepare engineering, technical, or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, and procedures.
- Organize, analyze, and present technical data in reports and presentations.
- Plan and perform tests and evaluations of systems, equipment, and components.
- Compile, process, and analyze test data results.
- Provide subject matter expertise on operation, installation, modification, troubleshooting, and maintenance of equipment and components.
Requirements
Qualifications- Expertise in Batteries and Energy Storage, and knowledge of charging systems and performance optimization.
- Experience with electrical CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer), simulation software like (MATLAB/Simulink), and potentially programming languages like C++ or Python.
- Strong foundation in power system design and circuit analysis.
- Proven (R&D) experience with innovative engineering solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; commitment to quality and continuous improvement processes.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Experience with industry standards and best practices for battery systems; familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100 quality systems is a plus.
Requirements:- 10+ years of experience in an Electrical Engineer, Electronic Engineer role
- Desired 3+ years of experience with Batteries and Energy Storage
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering discipline, or other technical discipline
- Direct experience developing, designing, modifying, installing, testing, evaluating and operating electrical, electronic, mechanical, or systems, and equipment
- Demonstrated experience reviewing, analyzing, developing, preparing, and applying engineering, technical, or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, or procedures
Direct experience preparing and presenting technical reports - Experience performing test and evaluation of systems equipment and components
Direct Experience with the operation, installation, modification, troubleshooting, and maintenance of said equipment - U.S. Citizenship (no visa sponsorship)
