Elder Abuse Litigation Attorney

A respected plaintiff-side personal injury and elder abuse law firm is seeking an experienced Elder Abuse Litigation Attorney to join its California team. This role is ideal for an attorney passionate about protecting vulnerable adults and holding negligent healthcare facilities accountable.

Responsibilities
  • Manage elder abuse and wrongful death cases from pre-litigation through trial
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and trial documents
  • Conduct and defend depositions
  • Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials throughout California
  • Review medical records and healthcare facility documentation
  • Work with medical experts, paralegals, case managers, and support staff
  • Develop case strategies and pursue maximum recovery for clients
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case progress

Qualifications
  • Active California Bar membership
  • Plaintiff-side elder abuse, nursing home negligence, or wrongful death experience
  • Strong litigation, deposition, mediation, and courtroom skills
  • Experience with nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, or skilled nursing facilities
  • Familiarity with EADACPA claims involving falls, bed sores, malnutrition, dehydration, medication errors, sepsis, and medical neglect
  • Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload
  • Strong written, verbal, and client communication skills

Compensation

200,00.00-400,000.00, plus commission, based on experience.
