Qualifications: - Master's degree from four-year college or university
- PA ESL Program Specialist Certification
- Minimum of five years experience teaching ELD
- FBI, Criminal Background, and Child Abuse clearances
- Bilingual in Spanish Preferred
Duties and Responsibilities: - Conduct initial assessment and placement of English learners and make placement recommendations
- Disaggregate and analyze ELD and academic achievement data to target instruction, enhance student learning, and inform teacher practice
- Conduct classroom observations to provide constructive feedback and assistance with improving instruction for English learners
- Model best practices in ELD instruction for content area teachers to increase student engagement and academic achievement
- Assist classroom teachers in recognizing and responding to the multiple needs of diverse learners
- Guide content area teachers in the development of common assessments that address clear content and language outcomes
- Facilitate ongoing professional development for staff on the integration of appropriate technology and resources to support culturally and linguistically diverse learners
- Convene or participate in meetings for the purpose of receiving and providing program and curriculum information in support of English Learners
- Demonstrate instructional leadership and professionalism
- Assist with the administration of the annual WIDA ACCESS for ELLs
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned
