About the Role

Hello, ELA Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher for a school setting in Summerville, SC. In this role, you'll provide engaging ELA instruction, support students in developing strong reading and writing skills, and create a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes academic growth and student success.

What You'll Do
  • Plan and deliver engaging English Language Arts instruction aligned with South Carolina academic standards
  • Teach reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and communication skills
  • Help students strengthen reading comprehension and analyze literary and informational texts
  • Differentiate instruction to support students with varying academic abilities and learning needs
  • Develop lesson plans and instructional activities that promote student engagement and achievement
  • Assess and monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on student performance
  • Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment
  • Provide students with meaningful feedback and additional academic support as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other school professionals to support student success
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development, and other responsibilities that support the school community


What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid South Carolina teaching certificate with appropriate English/ELA certification
