POSITION: EHS/Quality Manager

WORKSITE: 2002 East 1st Street, Maryville, MO 64468, United States

JOB DUTIES: Formulate and maintain quality control objectives and processes necessary for preservation of the quality system, including inspection and testing techniques, audits, analysis, and SPC studies. Administer document control of the Quality Manual. Plan, promote, and provide plantwide training in internal auditing and other quality classes as needed. Evaluate performance of Quality Technicians. Identify and implement quality measures and corrective and preventive actions. Select inspection methods for products. Determine the appropriate training for personnel. Establish, maintain and monitor a quality reporting system. Comply with all environmental, health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Provide quality, environmental, health and safety leadership to the site. Manage and direct site in achieving EHS targets and objectives. Direct development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and division EHS strategic initiatives. Facilitate risk assessment to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Work with leadership team to create targets and objectives based on key EHS risks. Determine appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track performance against targets and objectives based on key EHS risks. Support creation of EHS goals for the site manager and appropriate activity-based goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and frontline supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results. Work to assign EHS element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the EHS elements. Drive and promote zero incident EHS culture throughout site. Create and facilitate EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish established targets and objectives for the year. Work with leadership team and EHS element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations. Pursue third party recognition for programs that establish the site and the company's EHS program as world class. Use established EHS data processes such as AGEIS to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items and other pertinent information. Create training matrices to ensure that all training is defined and tracked to completion. Work with site leadership team and facilities to ensure that all key EHS operational controls are in place, on a PM program, and that EHS action items are resolved with site HR. Support W/C investigations in coordination with site HR. Manage the site facilitators/coordinators, including the BBS Facilitator, Ergonomic Coordinator, EMSEC Coordinator, and wastewater treatment operator(s).

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of experience as Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Quality Engineer, Continuous Improvement Coordinator, Continuous Improvement Supervisor, or Quality Supervisor.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The required five (5) years of experience must have involved continuous improvement and use of lean methodologies in the automotive industry or automotive parts manufacturing industry.

OTHER: Up to 10% of travel required for trainings, conferences, etc.
