Position: EHS Manager
Location: Danville Metro Area, VA
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 / Annually

Position Summary: The EHS Manager is responsible for leading site-wide environmental, health, safety, and process safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance, promote a strong safety culture, and support a zero-incident workplace. This role partners closely with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in safety, environmental stewardship, emergency preparedness, and operational compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all site EHS programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate requirements.
- Maintain and improve Process Safety Management (PSM) systems, including audits, PHAs, corrective actions, and regulatory inspections.
- Develop, implement, and deliver EHS training programs, onboarding, and ongoing employee development initiatives.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while driving corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead emergency response preparedness efforts, including ERT coordination, drills, contingency planning, and community emergency response engagement.
- Manage environmental compliance programs, including waste management, stormwater monitoring, emissions reporting, and environmental inspections.
- Oversee safety committees, contractor safety programs, industrial hygiene initiatives, and site security processes.
- Develop and manage EHS operating and capital budgets while supporting site improvement projects.
- Maintain ISO compliance, document control systems, and quality management requirements.
- Serve as a key advisor to plant leadership, driving continuous improvement and fostering a proactive safety culture.
Qualifications: - Experience leading EHS programs within a manufacturing, chemical, industrial, or process-driven environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, PSM, emergency response, and environmental regulations.
- Experience conducting audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, and compliance reporting.
- Proven ability to lead training initiatives and influence safety performance across all levels of an organization.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS-related management systems.
