Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Lead safety initiatives to achieve zero injuries and improve overall safety performance.
  • Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and process safety reviews.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and environmental events; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and supervisors.
  • Manage hazardous waste, chemical safety, air emissions, wastewater, and environmental permitting programs.
  • Monitor key EHS performance indicators and prepare reports for senior leadership.
  • Lead emergency preparedness, fire protection, evacuation planning, and crisis response activities.
  • Coordinate internal and external EHS audits and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Support capital projects by ensuring compliance with EHS standards during design and implementation.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and HR to integrate safety into daily operations.
  • Manage workers' compensation cases and return-to-work programs.
  • Maintain all required EHS documentation, permits, and regulatory records.
  • Promote continuous improvement and employee engagement through safety committees and behavior-based safety initiatives.
Full Job Description
The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for leading all environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance programs across the manufacturing facility. This role develops and implements EHS strategies that ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a proactive safety culture, reducing workplace risks, and supporting operational excellence.
