Full Job Description
As the EHS and Product Stewardship Director, you will work in an executive management position within the Operations function having responsibility for contributing to the achievement of PPC business objectives by leading and defining policy and strategy of EHS, Product Stewardship and Sustainability process and programs.

You are an innovative and strategic technical/business thinker who has the vision to look beyond the present and assist in shaping the future environment, health, safety and product stewardship strategy, ensuring alignment with the business/functional activities.

You will report to the Chief Operating Officer and work in the corporate office 3 days a week in Cranberry, PA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for contributing to the achievement of PPC business unit objectives by leading and implementing the EHS and product stewardship function.
  • Maximizes performance by partnering with business leadership to efficiently implement the PPC EHS Management System and to develop and achieve performance goals.
  • Provides continual assessment of the organizational needs and capabilities needed to achieve EHS and profit goals, including placement and selection of EHS and product stewardship staff.
  • Develops and drives EHS vision, goals, and strategic objectives. Creates an environment promoting the exchange of knowledge and innovative solutions throughout the organization.
  • Initiates and executes programs and processes that effectively manage PPC short- and long-term EHS risks incorporating broad sustainability and corporate social responsibility aspects.
  • Closely follows current and emerging regulatory requirements and social drivers affecting PPC.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in EHS field, chemistry, engineering, or related science with a strong preference for an advanced degree in science or business (MBA).
  • Minimum fifteen years of varied, in depth EHS and product stewardship experience and 10 or more years management experience.
  • Experience with safety and health regulations (OSHA, State and Canadian regulations) and industry best practices.
  • Understanding of the chemical formulation manufacturing processes and its potential safety, health and process safety impacts.
  • Continue professional growth and leadership by participating in professional societies and maintaining/obtaining professional certifications preferred.
