Full Job Description
Oversee the work of the Cardiac Rehab Department. Has responsibility for the management of all staff and operations within Cardiac Rehab

Requirements:
  • Greater than 2 years directly related experience
  • Bachelors Degree: BSN or BS
  • RN license -NH or other Compact State
  • CPR certified or within 90 days of hire
  • Certification in clinical area or nursing management within 18 months

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of staff in Cardiac Rehab.
2. Demonstrates fiscal responsibilities with resources and assists department director in the construction of the operational budget for Cardiac Rehab.
3. Acts as Program Manager for AACVPR certification, ensuring that the delivery of care meets established standards.
4. Leads the quality improvement and process improvement activities of the Cardiac Rehab department.
5. Coordinates the daily work of the unit team members, as delegated by the manager, to ensure proper clinical care/care delivery, policy compliance, quality outcomes and customer satisfaction. Serves as steward of resources: fiscal, personnel, materials and time.
6. Supports staff in autonomous problem-solving regarding unit-based and patient care issues including the application of evidence-based information. Role models interdisciplinary communication and collaboration.
7. Oversees the development of patient-focused care plans.
8. Demonstrates clinical and operational leadership skills and can organize, manage, and evaluate the function of the team and foster a safe environment for staff and patients.
9. Responsible for patient scheduling and charge entry for patient visits.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
