What We're Looking For:

  • Education: Master's degree from an accredited university in Special Education or equivalent.
  • Certification: A current Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification.
  • Experience: At least one year as an Educational Diagnostician.
  • Skills: Proficiency in computer-based special education systems.
  • Language Proficiency: Bilingual preferred but not required.


Your Role:

As an Educational Diagnostician, you'll be instrumental in shaping the educational journey of students by identifying their unique needs and advocating for the resources that enable their success. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Conduct Evaluations: Perform psycho-educational assessments to determine students' eligibility and need for specialized services.
  • Communicate Findings: Review evaluation findings with parents and district staff, providing clear and compassionate communication.
  • Develop Interventions: Collaborate with teams to create evidence-based interventions that enhance student performance, participation, and access to education.
  • Support Team: Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, parent conferences, and other relevant discussions to ensure special education programs meet every student's needs effectively.
