Full Job Description
Qorvo is seeking an EDA Applications Engineer to support electromagnetic (EM) simulation activities across RFIC, package, and module development teams. This role focuses on assisting engineers with troubleshooting of EM simulation setup, modeling issues, investigating tool-related challenges, and supporting correlation and verification efforts. The engineer will work closely with design, modeling, and product teams to help ensure efficient and accurate use of EM simulation tools throughout the product development process.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day support to design teams using electromagnetic simulation tools.
  • Assist engineers with simulation setup, model creation, meshing, convergence issues, and result interpretation.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot EM simulation tool issues, bugs, and workflow challenges.
  • Work with EDA vendors and internal teams to resolve software-related issues and improve tool usability.
  • Assist with maintaining simulation environments, software releases, and computing resources.
  • Support execution of EM simulations using available computing infrastructure.
  • Participate in training activities to help users become proficient with EM simulation tools and follow best practices


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience or an equivalent amount of advanced education and experience in RF, microwave, electromagnetics, or simulation-related engineering.
  • Basic understanding of electromagnetic theory, RF fundamentals, and numerical simulation methods.
  • Experience with Ansys HFSS, CST Microwave Studio, or similar EM simulation tools through coursework, internships, or industry experience.
  • Exposure to RFIC, MMIC, package, antenna, or RF module development through coursework, internships, or industry experience.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and high-performance computing systems.
  • Basic Python scripting experience and familiarity with Linux or high-performance computing environments.
  • Experience supporting or troubleshooting engineering software applications.
