Key Responsibilities:- Approaches the position with practical experience in applied economics and economic development, preferably as applied to transportation and logistics.
- Provides project leadership in support of strategic, business, and action planning, performance measurement analysis, and business process and action planning and analyses.
- Compiles, analyzes, and reports data to explain economic phenomena and forecast market trends. Applies mathematical models and statistical techniques.
- Leverages AI tools appropriately to augment human analysis.
- Develops economic guidelines and standards and prepares points of view used in forecasting trends and formulating economic policy.
- Responsible for development and maintenance of regional economic and freight/commodity flow databases, and econometric and input/output models.
- Duties include managing projects, internal teamwork assignments, client contact, and contract administration. contract administration.
Minimum Requirements:- Bachelor of Science (BS), Bachelor of Arts (BA), Master of Science (MS) or Master of Arts (MA) degree and minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
- Practical experience in applied economics and economic development preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
