Qualifications

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Echocardiography program required.
  • Experience performing a range of echocardiographic procedures, including TTE, Stress Echocardiograms, and TEE (if trained).
  • Proficient in EMR and PACS documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform echocardiographic procedures, including TTE and stress echocardiograms.
  • Conduct advanced studies such as Contrast and Bubble Studies and TEE if trained.
  • Document all exams and patient data accurately in EMR and PACS systems.
  • Follow safety, infection control, and regulatory standards in daily work.
  • Maintain awareness of HIPAA and IAC accreditation requirements.

Full Job Description
Echo Sonographer Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Echocardiography program.
  • Perform a variety of echocardiographic procedures, including: Transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), Stress Echocadiograms, Contrast and Bubble Studies, Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) (If Trained)
  • Ensure proper documentation of exams and patient information in EMR and PACS systems.
  • Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards, including HIPAA and IAC accreditation requirements.
