Position Summary

The Division Vice President (DVP), Business Manager - Education Communciation Systems is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and financial performance of Rauland's Education Criticial Cmmmunications Systems business. This role owns profit and loss responsibility and leads the development and execution of growth strategies across product management and development, commercial execution, pricing, and operational alignment.

The DVP serves as the general manager for the Education segment, driving profitable organic growth, market expansion, and operational excellence while ensuring alignment with AMETEK's strategic objectives and Rauland's long-term roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Business Leadership
  • Own and execute the Education business strategy, including market positioning, portfolio direction, pricing strategy, and growth initiatives.
  • Develop and execute multi-year organic growth plans, including new product introduction, market expansion, and customer penetration strategies.
  • Translate customer, market, and regulatory requirements into actionable product and commercial strategies.
  • Serve as the primary business leader for the Education vertical, representing Rauland internally and externally.

Financial & P&L Management
  • Profit and loss accountability, including revenue growth, margin expansion, cost management, and working capital optimization.
  • Establish and manage annual operating plans, forecasts, and long-range strategic plans.
  • Drive pricing discipline, margin improvement initiatives, and capital allocation decisions in partnership with Finance.

Commercial Excellence
  • Lead commercial strategy across sales, channel partners, and marketing, ensuring alignment with segment priorities and growth targets.
  • Strengthen relationships with key customers, integrators, and partners within the Education market.
  • Oversee demand generation, pipeline management, and go-to-market execution.

Product & Portfolio Leadership
  • Partner with Engineering, Product Management, and Operations to deliver competitive, market-leading solutions.
  • Set portfolio priorities, product roadmaps, and investment decisions based on market demand and return on investment.
  • Ensure effective lifecycle management and alignment between product innovation and commercial execution.

Operational & Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure delivery, cost, and performance objectives are met.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with AMETEK policies, governance, and performance management expectations.

People Leadership & Talent Development
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing leadership team across the Education business.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Support succession planning and leadership development across the organization.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Progressive leadership experience in general management, business management, or P&L ownership roles, with demonstrated accountability for business performance.
  • Proven experience driving organic growth and margin expansion in a technology, industrial, or solutions-based business.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing, go-to-market strategy, and customer engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at senior leadership levels.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25-50%, including travel to customer sites, partner locations, and AMETEK/Rauland facilities, as required to support business operations and growth initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Experience serving Education, Healthcare, or mission-critical communication/technology markets.
  • Prior experience within AMETEK or a similarly decentralized, performance-driven organization.
  • Exposure to regulated or highly customer-centric markets.

Employee Type: Salaried

Salary Minimum: $200,000 +

Salary Maximum: $200,000 +
