  • Assess candidates' experience, career goals, practice preferences, and alignment with each hospital's needs and WVP's values.
  • Guide hiring partners through the interview process, encourage timely feedback, and maintain momentum toward hiring decisions.

Sourcing & Pipeline Development
  • Proactively identify and engage active and passive veterinarian candidates through direct outreach, LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, professional networks, conferences, and other relevant channels.
  • Build and maintain pipelines for current openings and anticipated hiring needs, including opportunities in competitive or difficult-to-fill markets.
  • Develop relationships with veterinary schools and early-career programs to support student engagement and new-graduate recruitment.
  • Maintain consistent outreach and follow-up, tailoring communication to each candidate's interests and career stage.
  • Share market insights, candidate feedback, and recruiting challenges with hiring partners to inform hiring strategies.

Candidate Experience & Employer Representation
  • Serve as a knowledgeable, approachable representative of WVP and its partner hospitals.
  • Clearly communicate WVP's partnership model, clinical autonomy philosophy, and professional development opportunities.
  • Provide a personalized candidate experience through timely communication, thoughtful interview preparation, and clear next steps.
  • Coordinate with recruiting support teams and hospital leaders on practice visits, candidate travel, and hiring logistics.
  • Maintain candidate relationships over time, including with veterinarians who may be interested in future opportunities.

Recruiting Operations & Team Collaboration
  • Maintain accurate, current candidate records, recruiting activity, and hiring stages in Greenhouse and other recruiting tools.
  • Monitor sourcing activity, pipeline progress, time-to-fill, and offer acceptance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide regular updates on priority openings, candidate activity, hiring progress, and barriers requiring support.
  • Collaborate with fellow recruiters and recruiting support teams to share referrals, sourcing ideas, and best practices.
  • Participate in practice visits, recruiting events, and projects that strengthen recruiting effectiveness.
