We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic and inspirational Duty Manager to join our growing New York Team!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the operations team to ensure efficient production, packaging, and distribution of catering products.
  • Assign tasks, provide training, and ensure a safe, productive, and compliant working environment.
  • Support the operations manager in assessing and implementing operational improvements.
  • Contribute to strategic forecasting and risk management planning.
  • Plan and communicate production, transportation, and dispatch activities with departments.
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements from airlines, airports, ports, and other authorities.
  • Oversee ramp safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and Safe Program standards.
  • Evaluate, enhance, and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure consistent and compliant operations.
  • Develop and generate reports related to operational performance and cost analysis as requested by management.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure all products meet DO & CO standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of catering services, including updating customer specifications and ensuring hygiene and safety standards are met.
  • Communicate operational information and production requirements to the relevant departments.
  • Resolve any highlighted problems swiftly and professionally while maintaining effective communication with clients.
  • Lead by example, provide clear guidance, and build a motivated and cohesive team.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of managerial experience within operations or logistics, preferably in airline catering or FMCG.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Ensures compliance and quality across all operational processes.
  • Familiarity with airside, aviation, or food manufacturing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of OSHA compliance, DOT standards, and quality assurance processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to motivate and manage large teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a hands-on approach.
  • Demonstrates proactive decision-making and the ability to resolve operational challenges quickly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and relevant logistics software.
  • Must be able to obtain a PANYNJ ID (Port Authority of New York and New Jersey) as per TSA regulations (49 CFR 1542.209).
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure, including flexibility for night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
