Atlas Energy Solutions is seeking a Dredge Manager to serve as the operational and technical owner of our dredge mining operations in the Permian Basin. This role is responsible for day-to-day dredge production, personnel leadership, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement across two high-throughput dredges, each capable of producing up to 1,500 tons per hour.

This is a high-impact opportunity to build systems, standards, and processes from the ground up in a growing dredge operation. Success in this role is measured by safe production, dredge availability, tons moved, and disciplined execution of mine plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Target zero health, safety, and environmental incidents and set the standard for safe dredge operations
  • Own day-to-day dredge operations across assigned sites, including production, staffing, and equipment performance
  • Lead and develop dredge operators, supervisors, and support personnel
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage dredge staffing schedules to support production targets
  • Execute mine plans, monitor inventory levels, and adjust production forecasts as needed
  • Schedule and coordinate planned maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime
  • Own dredge reliability performance, including availability tracking, failure analysis, and improvement initiatives
  • Partner with Maintenance, Operations, and Plant Management to drive data-driven decisions
  • Lead CMMS development and continuous improvement for dredge maintenance and operations
  • Manage and track budgets related to dredge operations and improvement projects
  • Lead dredge-related projects, ensuring schedules, costs, risks, and technical objectives are met
  • Ensure all operations and projects comply with OSHA, MSHA, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Participate in vendor and contractor selection, negotiations, and performance management
  • Oversee engineering designs related to dredge systems, pumps, pipelines, and supporting infrastructure
  • Other duties as assigned

Success in This Role Is Measured By
  • Dredge availability and uptime
  • Tons per hour and production targets
  • Planned vs. unplanned downtime
  • Safety performance and regulatory compliance
  • Execution of mine plans and production forecasts
  • Reliability improvements and cost control

Qualifications
  • Strong technical and leadership experience in dredge mining, mining operations, or heavy industrial environments
  • Solid experience managing fixed and mobile equipment operations
  • Strong background in pumps and fluid dynamics
  • Experience in equipment reliability, condition monitoring, and failure reduction
  • Experience overseeing engineering designs and technical work scopes
  • Experience developing, managing, and tracking operating budgets
  • Ability to read, understand, and redline drawings, one-lines, and schematics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable operating in a field-based, hands-on environment
  • Willingness to work in and travel within the Permian Basin as required

How You Will Stand Out
  • You take ownership of outcomes and lead with accountability
  • You are comfortable building systems where none previously existed
  • You make data-driven decisions and hold high standards for safety and reliability
  • You work collaboratively across Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams
