Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experienced .Net Software Developer to join a fast-paced software modernization and sustainment team.

 

The candidate will have a primary focus on supporting all aspects of agile software design and development, to include development of new capabilities, testing, optimization and performance tuning, operation, and sustainment functions for legacy application support.

 

What you will do:

  • Provides expertise and direction in the development and/or modification of computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems.
  • Uses expertise to design develop, code, test, and debug software.
  • May work in one or several areas, such as software design, development, evaluation or test, configuration management procedures, troubleshooting analysis and application security vulnerability remediation.
  • Works with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives.
  • Provides analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.
  • Performs tasks necessary to ensure the identification and documentation of hazards within software systems using various analysis tools and techniques.
  • Reviews and evaluates systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety.
  • Confirms design mitigations are captured in the design and its documentation and verifies implementation.
Qualifications

Required

  •  5 Years with BA/BS, 3 years with MS/MA, 0 years with PhD ,or 9 years with HS diploma 
  • This is a remote opportunity, but you must reside in the U.S. to be considered.
  • Must be U.S. Citizen
  • Able to obtain a public Trust Clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at time of submission (prior to starting)
  • DoD 8570 compliance to include Primary IA certification such as Security+ CE, and Primary CE certification such as Microsoft MTA Security Fundamentals, Azure Fundamentals, or MCSA/MTA
  • Experience developing software with high-level languages – such as Microsoft .NET, REST API – in the development of application software for complex cloud and web-based systems
  • Experience Agile development 
  • Experience with source code management practices and tools
  • Experience with enabling tools: Git, Jira, Cloud (Azure)
  • Agile n-tier web site design, development, implementation, and maintenance using the following
    • .NET 6/8/.NET Core
    • ASP.NET, C#
    • XML, CSS, DHTML
    • HTML5, JavaScript
    • REST API
  • Relational Database Reporting/Programming using SQL and PL/SQL to develop Oracle packages, stored procedures, triggers, etc.
  • Experience in web programming / application and database development processes:
  • Web technologies such as: ASP.Net, ASP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, Web Service, XML
  • Framework use such as React, Angular, Vue, Bootstrap or jQuery

Desired/Preferred:

  • Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms and VB.NET
  • ColdFusion development experience
  • Experience developing Section 508 compliant software applications
  • Experience using Jira Software
  • Requirements gathering and documentation (e.g., use cases, business rules, user stories)
  • Skilled in web/GUI design, functional analysis and back-end database modeling (UI/UX)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Web services and Microservices
  • Source Control with Azure DevOps, Git, or Team Foundation Server
Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
