Dosimetrist - Radiation Oncology
Location: Medford, OR
Work Model: Onsite (Day Shift - 4x10 schedule)
Position Type: Full-Time
The Dosimetrist will be responsible for designing and calculating radiation treatment plans to ensure accurate and effective dose delivery for cancer patients. This role collaborates closely with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists to develop optimal treatment strategies using advanced planning systems and radiation therapy technologies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform isodose treatment planning using computer-based systems
  • Develop radiation dose distribution plans to meet clinical objectives
  • Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists
  • Optimize treatment techniques for accuracy and patient safety
  • Utilize radiation therapy systems and software for planning and execution
  • Maintain and manage treatment planning documentation and records
  • Support integration with clinical systems and IT applications
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety and regulatory standards

Must-Have Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Science or related field
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Dosimetry Program (or equivalent experience pathway)
  • Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) - required upon hire
  • Minimum:
    • 2+ years clinical experience (formal program) OR
    • 3+ years clinical experience (on-the-job training pathway)
  • Experience with radiation treatment planning systems
Required Skills
  • Strong expertise in radiation therapy planning and dose calculation
  • Knowledge of isodose planning and treatment optimization
  • Experience working with Radiation Oncology teams
  • Familiarity with clinical systems and radiation therapy software
