Full Job Description
Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement, current bargaining unit employees have priority consideration for this position if they apply within seven (7) days of the posting date. After this period, all applicants will be considered equally.

Primary: 7:00am-3:30pm

Secondary: 8:00am-4:30pm

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for performing dose calculations and computerized isodose planning for both brachytherapy and photon beam/electron beam teletherapy treatments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Requires a bachelor or associate degree in radiation therapy or related sciences.
2. Certification as Certified Medical Dosimetrist or eligible to sit for examination within 1 year of hire required.
3. Two years of experience as a Dosimetrist preferred. Registration by AART as a Radiotherapy Therapist preferred.
4. The ability to problem solve and resolve clinical or machine related issues, as well as perform mathematical calculations and strong understanding of the principles of physics is required.
5. Proficiency in the use of computers and the ability to read diagnostic images for radiation dosimetry is required.
6. Knowledge of radiation safety and brachytherapy source inventory required.
7. Requires strong interpersonal skills necessary to work with physicians, technical staff and ancillary department personnel.
