Job Description

The Medical Dosimetrist is responsible for designing a treatment plan and carrying out calculations with mathematical accuracy for the delivery of radiation treatment based on the radiation oncologist's prescribed course of radiation therapy.

The APEx accredited Kadlec Tri Cities Cancer Center is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team of two dosimetrists, two physicists and three physicians.
The Tri Cities Cancer Center is located in Kennewick, WA. We have two Varian linear accelerators and one HDR unit. We offer a full range of radiation therapy treatments including 3DCRT, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS and HDR.
Experience in Eclipse/ARIA is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists and the oncology team to develop precise radiation treatment plans.
  • Work closely with physicists and radiation therapists to ensure seamless integration of treatment plans into the clinical workflow.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on physician recommendations and patient needs.
  • Work in a supportive, collaborative atmosphere where communication and teamwork are essential to delivering the highest quality patient care.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical or Biological Science or Registered Radiation Therapy Technologist.
  • Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist or
    • Upon hire: National Certified Medical Dosimetrist - Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board.

  • 1 year experience
