OverviewThe Domestic Agent III serves as an experienced, representative responsible for coordinating and executing complex domestic logistics activities. This role supports the full lifecycle of shipment management, including scheduling, tracking, documentation, and issue resolution. As a subject-matter resource within the team, the Domestic Agent III handles escalated inquiries, ensures compliance with company and regulatory requirements, and maintains a high level of accuracy in all operational processes. The position also contributes to workflow improvements, supports training of junior staff, and helps ensure efficient, reliable service delivery to internal and external customers.
Responsibilities- Quoting, tracking and tracing domestic freight shipments moving via air/ground on a daily basis. Track overhead shipments daily and route accordingly
- Route freight shipments across multiple transportation modes and services based upon client requests
- Proactively communicate with clients regarding status of freight
- Communicate with vendors/suppliers regarding shipment dispatch, routing and rates
- Assist local sales and domestic offices with air/ground freight issues
- Manage daily on-time and defect codes, carrier re-weights and insure all masters rated
- Assist in compiling customer specific key performance indicator (KPI) reports on a weekly/monthly basis as needed
- Ensure paperwork, labeling and scanning for accuracy
- Understand the requirements/expectations of handling shipments of consequence - NFO, high-value, date/time specific, etc.
- Responsible for processing monthly inventory
- Network with corresponding departments to ensure files are billed and posted prior to end of month
- Continuous learning through required compliance training and certifications of software and/or regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned

- The wage range for this position is $32.70-$46.20 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
QualificationsEducation• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Associate degree or equivalent (preferred)
Experience• 7+ years Freight Forwarding experience (required)
• 10+ years (preferred)
• 3+ years SAP, AS400 experience (preferred)
• 3+ years Advanced knowledge of IATA and TSA regulations. (required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Microsoft Office
