Full Job Description
SLB is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Document Control Manager to establish and manage the document control system for Data Center projects, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and traceability of all project documentation across engineering, procurement, construction, and commercial functions. The Document Control Manager leads the site document control team, maintains document governance processes, and ensures that all internal and external correspondence, drawings, and deliverables are properly reviewed, distributed, and archived in accordance with project requirements. Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Establish and manage the project document control system in alignment with client and company requirements.
  • Oversee document numbering, revision control, and metadata standards for all project deliverables.
  • Review and issue transmittals to clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring correct distribution and recordkeeping.
  • Monitor document workflows and ensure timely review, comment, and approval cycles.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to maintain alignment of deliverables and status updates.

  • Support project close-out by ensuring complete and accurate archival of all project documentation.
Qualifications And Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Information Management, or related field
  • Proven experience with Aconex or Omega365 including implementation and administration.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in document control for large-scale construction or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of document management systems, workflows, and quality requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead document control teams and coordinate with multiple project disciplines.
  • Experience with electronic document management systems (EDMS) and client documentation portals.
  • Prior experience supporting Data Center or mission-critical facility projects preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Certification or training in Document Management or Information Governance is preferred
  • Experience with Procore is preferred
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada without sponsorship.
