Mission: Lead development and sustainment of capstone, keystone, and operational
doctrine for the Space Force, and to ensure accurate representation of Space Force and space operations equities in joint, allied, and multi-Service doctrine publications.
Purpose of position: Serve as a doctrine analyst and developer for the Space Force, in support of the development and sustainment of Space Force doctrine, and to contribute to the review and update of joint, allied, and multi-Service doctrine.
Duties:
• Complete reviews of joint, allied, multi-Service, and partner nation doctrine to identify gaps or inconsistencies in content related to the Space Force, space operations, and space terminology.
• Lead the development, review, update, and publication of Space Force, joint, allied, or multi-Service doctrine documents using established methods and formats in accordance with Service or applicable organizational standards.
• Represent the Space Force in joint, NATO, multi-Service, and partner nation doctrine working groups and engagements to provide professional, relevant expertise on doctrine and terminology.
• Provide training and education to enable Guardians to apply doctrine to their mission and engage in the development and update of space doctrine publications.
Knowledge and skills for the position:
• Ability to gather and refine extant best practices, analyze the information for completeness, relevance, logical development, clarity, conciseness, correct terminology, grammatical usage, and conformity and make edits to the
• publications (in-conjunction with subject matter experts) to tailor the material to be clear and sufficient to meet the needs of the Space Force.
• Ability to conduct formal staffing of Space Force, joint, NATO, and multi-Service doctrine (using ETMS2) and to consolidate and adjudicate all inputs for completeness, relevance, clarity, conciseness, correct terminology, grammatical usage, and compliance with joint or allied doctrine standards as applicable and provide leadership a recommended Space Force response.
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct teams to develop and review doctrine publications.
• Ability to present information verbally, in document form, in presentations, and in other digital forms to allow Guardians to consume doctrine in a manner most suited to their needs.
• Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, both orally and in writing, and to work in a professional manner with peers, leadership, contractors, academia, allies, partners, and other agencies.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.
• This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing.
• Must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
• May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
