The Divisional Survey Manager is responsible for the overall management of our Windsor office as well as Ontario Land Surveyor duties for cadastral and construction projects. As the Divisional Survey Manager, you would be responsible for a wide variety of projects of various scales from inception to completion, business development for Windsor and the surrounding area, overseeing sound financial management of all divisional projects and supporting a positive and rewarding work environment for the employees. The Divisional Survey Manager reports to the Vice President, Survey Operations.
Responsibilities of this role include estimating project costs, supervising of the field and office components of projects and liaising with clients and ensuring deadlines are met. You must support and adhere to company standards and procedures, manage divisional WIP and A/R and ensure that quality services are provided to our clients. As a Divisional Survey Manager you would also be responsible for the overall office administration of the Windsor office including maintaining a motivated and positive work environment. The successful candidate will also work closely with other managers and offices to support multi-regional projects.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Cadastral Ontario Land Surveyor for a minimum of 5 years
- Good understanding of Total Station and Data Collector technology, survey calculations and JDB CAD systems
- Working knowledge of Global Positioning Systems (GPS) would be an asset
- An ability to meet timelines and oversee various sized projects from inception to completion by effective decision making, holding both yourself and others accountable to the same
- Good understanding of regional clientele and projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to promoting strong communication with clients and other JDB office locations
- Strong commitment to outstanding service quality and safety performance
- Strong knowledge of or desire to support and fulfill our administrative and operational procedures and financial reporting
- Proficient in estimating project costs and driven to provide strong supervision and able to motivate field and office staff to be high performing and efficient
- Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and develop business growth
