Overview
Directs the division's operations function and leads construction programs in accordance with organizational policy and strategy. Oversees daily functions or processes necessary for business execution and identifies opportunities for improvement or efficiencies. Responsible for construction scheduling, construction quality control, budgeting, and depending on division structure may also oversee one or more of the following departments in addition to construction: purchasing, product and design, land development, design center, and customer care.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide a work environment that prioritizes the health and safety of our employees and trade partners
- Cultivate and environment that reflects Beazer Culture
- Oversee and manage vertical construction operations and at least one other major department
- Anticipate possible obstacles and propose favorable solutions
- Achieve company benchmarks including cycle time, HERS scores, ACH, and customer surveys
- Develop and implement process improvements.
- Interviewing, selecting training, developing, and disciplining employees
- Ensures the division is in compliance with all policies of the Company as well as local municipalities
- Sets clear goals and expectations and creates a culture of accountability
- Ensures the division's organization structure is appropriate to support current and future operations
- Establish a business plan and pricing strategies in conjunction with Division President.
- Manages operating budgets for profits and losses.
- Seek and partner with reliable trades
- Conduct site visits weekly, including safety and quality walks
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred with 5 - 10 years' experience in homebuilding industry, including management experience.
- Experience in Construction, Purchasing and Estimating and Customer Service in homebuilding industry required.

Physical Requirements
- Typical office environment
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel between construction sites regularly
- Ability to walk on uneven surfaces
- Ability to climb stairs (2 story home)
- Construction sites where temperature, weather and noise may vary; may encounter electrical, dust, poor ventilation, dangerous machinery and moving objects and toxic conditions.
