Compensation
Starting Pay Range: $125,000 - $140,000 Annually
As Division Vice President, you will lead a team of 8-12 District Managers across 150-200 properties, helping them develop their teams, deliver great customer experiences, and achieve strong operational and financial performance. Through coaching, mentorship, and leadership, you'll build a high-performing culture focused on people, performance, and continuous improvement.
Compensation includes a competitive base salary, annual bonus opportunity, Long-Term Incentive eligibility, Restricted Stock awards, mileage reimbursement, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Managing business operations, improving profitability, executing growth initiatives
• Drive operational and financial performance across the division
• Formulate and execute the strategic plan that guides the direction of store operations.
• Achieve the organization's overall strategic goals and profitability requirements as determined by the strategic plans.
• Ensures the execution of all revenue and expense management, personnel development, and site improvement strategies through the direct supervision of District Managers for all new and existing properties on a market-by-market and store-by-store basis.
• Actively manage customer satisfaction through analysis of customer feedback, scrutiny of performance metrics and improvement of customer service systems and processes.
• Monitor compliance with Extra Space Storage policies and procedures
• Maintain awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape to include opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments and standards, and so forth.
• Evaluate general and specific business conditions as they relate to operational issues, and keep the Senior Management team fully advised on these matters.
• Partner with each District Manager to effectively staff store management level positions and facilitate leadership development.
• Primary contact for all conflict resolution with customers, vendors and suppliers (at operations level) if District Managers are unable to facilitate an expedient remedy.
• Lead the knowledge sharing and implementation of best practices across Districts.
Qualifications
• A minimum of 8 - 10 years of senior-level multi-unit retail operations management experience; retail experience preferred
• A college degree in business or a related field is preferred. In the absence of a degree, additional related experience is required

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Performs sedentary work in an office environment with limited lifting (less than 10 pounds) or walking required. Close visual acuity required to perform work at computer terminal. No exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Requires repetitive typing motion, talking, hearing, grasping and feeling.
