Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction for the division's quality function while sustaining the quality philosophy and lean culture across the organization. Establish, maintain, and optimize an effective quality management system, and develop and execute quality plans that achieve organizational goals, meet customer expectations, satisfy stakeholder requirements, and support market competitiveness. Drive improvement in products and services through the implementation of ISO 9001, problem-solving tools, prevention methods, quality-at-the-source, and continual improvement techniques, while serving as Management Representative for Quality Systems. Lead the division's Lean Transformation as the primary resource for implementing the Parker Lean System (PLS), delivering practical, hands-on training and development for associates in PLS methodologies and tools to eliminate waste across administrative, manufacturing, and support functions. Measure, monitor, and report progress on an ongoing basis using the Win Scorecard and PLS Lean Journey Assessment.
You Main Responsibilities:
• Communicate customer, regulatory, and organizational requirements to ensure product quality, contract compliance, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and effectiveness of the quality management system to ensure compliance with applicable standards and division policies.
• Partner with leadership to ensure associates performing quality-related functions are properly trained and capable of meeting performance expectations.
• Coordinate internal, customer, and third-party audits, and maintain corrective action processes to address nonconformances, complaints, and recurring issues.
• Develop and monitor performance metrics related to quality, customer satisfaction, operational performance, and cost of poor quality, using results to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to develop supplier management strategies, assess supplier capabilities, and monitor supplier quality performance.
• Lead the division's implementation of the Parker Lean System (PLS), guiding lean initiatives across administrative, manufacturing, and support functions.
• Develop and drive the division's Lean Future State Strategy, ensuring alignment of organizational structure and resources to support the lean transformation.
• Ensure adherence to PLS standards, including Site, Value Stream, and Team Improvement Boards, while fostering a PDCA culture and continuous learning environment.
• Support and develop plant lean leaders where applicable, and communicate progress, results, and benefits of quality and lean initiatives through the Lean Journey Assessment, Win Scorecard, and leadership reporting.
We are looking for talent with:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline required.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Quality, Engineering, Lean, or a related field.
• Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems required; knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 or other applicable industry standards preferred, as relevant.
• Strong understanding of Lean principles and tools, including Value Stream Mapping, Just-in-Time, Demand Flow, Single Piece Flow, 5S, Visual Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement.
• Experience with quality improvement tools and techniques such as Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and statistical problem-solving methods.
• ASQ certification such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading or participating in Kaizen events in both manufacturing and administrative/office environments preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and related technologies.
• Strong leadership, project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead and support empowered teams in a collaborative environment.
• Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills, along with a good understanding of financial measurements and performance goals within a Lean enterprise.
