Job Summary:

The Division Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the operations, schedule, performance, and strategic direction of a specific division within the company. This role involves ensuring operational efficiency, achieving financial goals, and leading a team to deliver high-quality maintenance services. The Division Manager works closely with other division managers and the executive team to align division objectives with the company's overall goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the division, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and operational goals for the division.
  • Manage and optimize resources, including staffing, equipment, and budget.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability at the job level and collectively as an operational unit.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop division staff to achieve high performance and professional growth.
  • Coordinate with other divisions and departments to ensure seamless operations and collaboration.
  • Assist with the QA/QC department to implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure high standards of service delivery.
  • Manage client relationships and address any issues or concerns to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and adhere to client safety requirements while leading subordinate employees to follow all client and company safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators (KPI's) and division performance, including financial metrics and operational status to senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and innovative practices within the division.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination within the division and with other parts of the organization.


Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.


Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in a management role within the industrial maintenance or related industry.
  • Proven track record of managing operations, leading teams, and achieving financial targets.

  • Strong understanding of operational management principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Possess a very strong appreciation for safety, while having a firm understanding of the consequences of an unsafe workspace.

Work Location and Travel:
  • Primarily based at the company's main office at 2730 Mine and Mill Road, Lakeland, Florida 33801 with frequent travel to operational sites and client locations as needed. (Alternative option - Primarily based out of the respective division's base office at "X" with frequent travel to operational sites and client locations as required.)


Work Environment:
  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary (Monday - Sunday with some overnight work) and overtime is frequently required.
  • This position is safety sensitive in nature, which means employees perform duties so fraught with risks of injury to self or others, or environmental injury, that even a momentary lapse of concentration or attention can have disastrous consequences.
  • The working environment is often in harsh elements (hot/humid and/or cold temperatures, rain, etc.) Industrial environments often have exposure to hazardous chemicals, moving heavy equipment, and other safety-sensitive hazards/risks. Must always be alert and able to safely perform the essential duties of the job without risking harm to oneself or others.


Physical Requirements:

Talk/Hear: Required to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders, and to address issues, provide instructions, and facilitate meetings and negotiations.

Stand/Sit: Frequently required to oversee and participate in meetings, manage day-to-day operations, and perform administrative tasks such as reviewing reports and handling correspondence.

Walk: Regularly required to navigate between different areas of the office or facility, visit team members, and conduct inspections or site visits as needed.

Use hands/fingers to handle or feel: Frequently required to operate office equipment, type on a computer, handle documents, and manage various administrative tasks and communication.

Climb: Occasionally required to access high storage areas or equipment in facilities, if necessary, for inspections or to retrieve items.

Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl: Occasionally required to reach low storage areas or work on tasks that require close access to ground-level equipment or facilities.

See: Required to review and analyze reports, monitor operations, evaluate performance, and make informed decisions based on visual assessments of facilities and work environments.

Carry, weight, Lift: Occasionally required to transport documents, equipment, or materials related to their division, ensuring that necessary items are moved and managed effectively.

Exposure to work: Regular exposure to industrial environments, including noise, machinery, and potential hazards.
