Full Job Description
What You'll Do:

The Division Manager has ultimate accountability for permitting, construction, purchasing, and customer relations within the Greenville, SC division. Reporting to the Regional President, the Division Manager ensure that homes are built in adherence to quality and safety, and within established timelines.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Ensures all preconstruction timelines are maintained to provide the construction team with an on time start at every purchase.
  • Generates and reviews daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports reflecting the division's results and assesses areas of improvement as needed, i.e., SOC Report, Backlog review.
  • Inspects neighborhoods and homes weekly as part of a routine inspection process to ensure cleanliness, quality, safety, and schedule adherence to the company's standards.
  • Holds weekly meetings with division staff to ensure accurate home closing dates are established and achieved.
  • Recruits, develops, and retains staff per the division's strategic business plan.
  • With the help of division leadership, trains & on-boards new hires.
  • Hosts monthly safety and technical training meetings with staff.
  • Ensures timely delivery of building permits before lot close.
  • Assists Regional Sales Managers as needed with recruiting and training of sales staff.
  • Ensures a proper subcontractor allocation, schedule adherence, quality, and safety.
  • Ensures timely completion of outstanding customer service requests and maintains a high level of customer service satisfaction.
  • Accountable for construction time, quality, customer satisfaction, budget/variance control, and timeliness of completing required docs.
  • Performs other duties as needed or assigned.


What You Have:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage conflict with employees, customers, building inspectors, and trade contractors with the utmost care and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of technical construction materials and methods.
  • Ability to design and implement new training modules for builders and subcontractors.
  • Aptitude to run and review reports and pinpoint areas of need that align with company initiatives.


Your Education and Experience:
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent certification, accreditation, or job experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years within the construction industry, preferably in production homebuilding.
  • A minimum of 2 years prior management & leadership experience.
