Job Description:The Department of Pediatrics at UToledo Health and The University of Toledo College of Medicine & Life Sciences is seeking an experienced, visionary Pediatric Division Chief to provide clinical and administrative leadership for a growing pediatric division. This physician leader will maintain an active outpatient clinical practice across two pediatric clinic locations while overseeing a team of up to 10 Pediatricians dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Position Highlights:- Provide outpatient pediatric care at two clinic locations.
- Lead and supervise a team of up to 10 Pediatricians and advanced practice providers.
- Drive quality improvement, patient safety, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Support provider recruitment, onboarding, retention, and professional development.
- Collaborate with hospital, medical staff, and administrative leadership to advance strategic goals.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and exceptional patient experience.
- Participate in clinical program development and service line growth initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:Clinical Leadership- Maintain an active outpatient pediatric practice.
- Serve as a clinical role model and resource for physicians and staff.
- Champion evidence-based care and quality outcomes.
Administrative Leadership- Provide day-to-day oversight of division operations.
- Monitor clinical productivity, access, patient satisfaction, and quality metrics.
- Assist with budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic planning.
- Address operational challenges and implement process improvements.
Team Development- Mentor and support pediatric providers.
- Conduct performance reviews and professional development discussions.
- Foster collaboration among providers, nursing, and support staff.
- Recruit and retain high-performing physicians.
Qualifications:Required- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification in Pediatrics.
- Eligible for or currently holding unrestricted state medical licensure.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical pediatric experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a medical practice, division, department, or service line.
Preferred- Previous experience leading physicians or multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with quality improvement, practice operations, and physician engagement initiatives.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and change-management skills.
