Job Description
SUMMARY/GOAL OF POSITION:
To improve teaching practices and student outcomes within a school. This may involve developing new curriculums, mentoring and training teachers, organizing professional development, and analyzing student performance data to identify areas for improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master's Degree from an accredited university.
• 5 Years Teaching Experience
• Strong motivational Skills
• Effective communication skills
• Strong organizational and data management skills.
• Excellent relationship-building skills
• Ability to use problem-solving skills to generate solutions
• Team-oriented and flexible
• Ability to deliver training programs to achieve desired results
• Willingness to travel
ESSENTIAL TASKS OF THE POSITION: (Illustrative, not inclusive)
• Facilitate MTSS
• Backup District Test Coordinator
• Oversee charter school application and process
• Collaborates with the Director of Teaching & Learning
• Conducts regular site visits to schools; attend weekly PLCs at schools; District PLCs
• Facilitates and monitors the use of best practices based on the data in the alignment of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and improvement.
• Assists school staff in collecting, analyzing, and interpretation school data and reports.
• Assists school staff in developing, implementing, revising, and evaluating Continuous Improvement Plan (ACIP).
• Participates in on-going quality training.
• Assumes any and all other responsibilities assigned by Director of Teaching & Learning & Superintendent.
• Facilitate the development and accountability of school improvement planning.
• Assist the staff and leadership in advocating, facilitating and the implementation of strategies that improve student achievement and close the achievement gap.
• Monitor all plans in Unified Insights.
• Participate in professional learning to keep current in educational field.
• Assist/Model best practices in integrating curriculum across content areas.
• Organize systems of data collection to allow for the comparison, analysis and evaluation of information within assigned building.
• Maintain knowledge of current Board, Federal, State and local regulations.
• Provides support and direction for District and School Improvement Planning, including other ESEA required plans and mandates.
• Chairs and/or serves on a variety of advisory committees at building, district, community and state levels.
• Provides training and support for diagnostic and evaluative assessment.
• Assists/models best practices in integrating curriculum across content areas.
• Plans and facilitates curriculum in-service meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Knowledge of school district operations in relation to division/ department operations;
• Knowledge of business machine, office equipment, and record keeping/ accounting;
• Knowledge of district purchase orders and related contract terms;
• Ability to promote public relations and deal tactfully and diplomatically with people;
• Ability to learn basic computer software applications and mainframe computer data entry procedures;
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations and statistical analysis;
• Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines, and shift suddenly to new tasks when priorities change;
• Ability to plan, organize, set priorities, and work independently;
• Ability to keep information confidential and maintain ethical attitude;
• Ability to concentrate on detailed data and maintain accuracy for extended periods of time;
• Ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing;
• Ability to promote public relations and deal tactfully and diplomatically with people;
• Ability to exercise judgment as to • when to act independently and when to refer situations to supervisor;
• Ability to cooperate with district staff, vendor, and the public;
• Ability to recognize hazards and apply safe work methods.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
• 12 Month Employee
EVALUATION: Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with school board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of personnel.
