District Route Manager

Location: Manteca, CA
Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Position Summary

Core Linen Services is seeking a District Route Manager to oversee route delivery and service operations based out of our Manteca, California location. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing and supporting our route drivers while ensuring our customers receive consistent, reliable, and high-quality service.

The District Route Manager will build strong relationships with existing customers, oversee route performance, address service needs, and partner with customers on pricing and service solutions. This position is focused on supporting and growing relationships with our established customer base rather than new business development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and support route drivers to ensure safe, efficient, and professional service.
  • Oversee daily route operations, schedules, coverage, and delivery performance.
  • Conduct regular ride-alongs and field observations with drivers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for customer service needs, concerns, shortages, billing questions, and escalations.
  • Partner with existing customers to evaluate service levels, product needs, and pricing.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service, route efficiency, and account profitability.
  • Monitor route performance, labor utilization, delivery accuracy, and service metrics.
  • Partner closely with plant operations and other internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Promote and enforce company safety expectations, DOT requirements, vehicle inspection standards, and safe driving practices.
  • Assist with recruiting, training, coaching, performance management, and development of route team members.
  • Maintain accurate route, customer, vehicle, and employee documentation.


Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in route operations, transportation, logistics, customer service, or a related field.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to coach and hold employees accountable while building a positive team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable reviewing pricing, service levels, and operational performance.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Experience in linen rental, laundry, uniform rental, healthcare service, distribution, or another route-based service industry is a plus.

Compensation: $75,000-$95,000 annually
