OverviewThe District Manager provides leadership to operational and organizational leadership of their assigned district within a specific region. This role will directly manage multiple stations/offices P&Ls in order to meet or exceed profitability and growth objectives in an efficient and high quality manner. In addition, this role will recruit, develop and motivate staff to meet or exceed client expectations. It is important that the individual in this role provides all stations with the necessary tools, best practice processes, and strategy to succeed and expand their business levels in both domestic and international product while partnering with corporate operations and the product team to implement and execute corporate strategy building upon the "One Team, One Vision" approach.
Responsibilities
- Actively manage Profit and Loss metrics of stations/offices within assigned district, working with local leadership on strategy, to meet or exceed growth, service and profitability objectives.
- Provide the stations and teams with guidance as it relates to general leadership, communication, performance management, margin management, revenue opportunities and KPI execution.
- Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders through proactive partnership & networking amongst the vertical and corporate support functions.
- Align on sales strategy in partnership with the Regional Sales Director to meet or exceed budget expectations. Support solution development in order to execute and deliver to the client's expectations in order to exceed growth objectives in both international and domestic products.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop the team to ensure company expectations are met and manage underperformance as necessary.
- Establish a consistent cadence of office/station visits, operation reviews, one-on-one training/coaching and communication with local leadership in order to effectively coach, develop and motivate the team through performance KPI's, metrics and goals.
- Develop and execute the operational & cultural strategy of AIT, such as implementing company operating processes and procedures uniformly for the efficient and profitable management of the market.
- Oversee and support general facility building needs specific to safety, security, training, HR policy, cultural goals and general maintenance / upkeep.
- Ensure the operational teams remain compliant with the various regulatory agencies (TSA, customs, other governmental agencies)
- Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Required) and Bachelors Degree in Business & Economics, Supply Chain, or related field. (Preferred)
Experience 5+ years multiple station management experience including profit and loss, local leadership, and operational staff (local leadership, warehouse, and support staff). (Required) and 5+ years people management and leadership experience (Required) and 7+ years experience with diverse freight forwarding products including domestic, logistics and international product (Required)

Licenses and Certifications - IATA certification; DG certification (Preferred) - Forklift certification (Preferred)
