DutiesHelp
- Serves as the Group Chief, which consists of work processes being carried out and managed by several divisions/branches.
- Leads Distribution center operations in the areas of production, infrastructure optimization, safety, security, and equipment management.
- Responsible for the planning, design, implementation, analysis, control, and effective use of a complete distribution system composed of automated and non-automated components.
- Serves as the primary technical authority for the Distribution Centers Mission and operations.
- Analyzes operational performance through direct observation, interpretation of reports and collaboration with others.
- Determines opportunities for improvement of key metrics and executed action plans to achieve results.

QualificationsTo qualify for a Distribution Facilities Manager, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Exercise broad delegated authority for independently planning, scheduling, coordinating, carrying out, and monitoring the effectiveness of supply operations.
- Overseeing the direction, leadership and management of personnel, resources, workload, supplies and/or associated activities of a facility.
- Evaluate and make recommendations concerning overall plans and projects for major agency and interagency supply projects.
EducationSubstitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
