This role is responsible for defining the long-term architectural vision, strategy, standards, and reference architectures for all enterprise infrastructure domains, including datacentres, colocation facilities, cloud platforms, compute, storage, networking, observability, platform services, and infrastructure automation.

The DMTS serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and architecture governance bodies, shaping multi-year technology roadmaps that enable business growth, operational resilience, cybersecurity, manufacturing uptime, and digital transformation. The role provides technical leadership across infrastructure engineering, operations, cybersecurity, cloud, enterprise architecture, and solution delivery organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain enterprise infrastructure architecture strategy, standards, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps across hybrid infrastructure domains.
  • Set target-state architecture for colocation, data center, compute, storage, backup, disaster recovery, virtualization, Kubernetes, and edge platforms.
  • Lead architectural reviews for major infrastructure investments, platform decisions, modernization initiatives, lifecycle plans, and risk mitigation programs.
  • Establish workload placement principles across public cloud, private cloud, colocation, and on-premises environments, balancing cost, resilience, performance, security, and operational complexity.
  • Drive architecture governance, decision frameworks, and technology standards that improve consistency across regions, manufacturing sites, and business units.
  • Identify and reduce infrastructure-related risks, technical debt, vendor concentration exposure, scalability constraints, and resiliency gaps.
  • Partner with cybersecurity and operations teams to embed Zero Trust, segmentation, secure connectivity, observability, automation, and compliance requirements into infrastructure patterns.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies such as AIOps, autonomous operations, software-defined infrastructure, platform engineering, Infrastructure as Code, and edge computing, and guide practical adoption.
  • Mentor architects and senior engineers, develop reusable guidance, and represent the organization as a recognized thought leader in enterprise infrastructure architecture.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent senior technical experience may be considered.
  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture, engineering, or technology leadership roles within large-scale, mission-critical environments.
  • Deep expertise across multiple infrastructure domains, including storage, compute, virtualization, resiliency, disaster recovery, and automation.
  • Proven ability to define enterprise-wide technology strategies, architecture standards, target-state models, and multi-year roadmaps.
  • Strong experience leading architecture governance, executive-level technology decisions, and cross-functional alignment across IT, security, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical architecture into clear business impact, decision options, and investment recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • TOGAF certification or equivalent enterprise architecture experience.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, platform engineering, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and automation at enterprise scale.
  • Experience supporting highly regulated, manufacturing, semiconductor, or other 24x7 mission-critical environments.
  • Demonstrated industry influence through publications, patents, conference speaking, standards participation, or enterprise-wide innovation leadership.
