Position Summary...
As a Distinguished Experience Strategist (IC) focused on Sam's Club Online & E-commerce, you will partner closely with Research and senior business leaders to define the most critical digital commerce problems to solve, define new experiences for omni-channel shopping, uncover root causes of breakdown in the member experience and expectations, and drive prioritized strategies that improve the end-to-end online member experience and e-commerce performance. You will set enterprise-level direction through clearly articulated recommendations and standards, measurement, and executive influence.

What you'll do:
  • Define and evolve the end-to-end e-commerce experience.
  • Build experimentation frameworks, scale successful pilots, and advise senior leaders on investment decisions, tradeoffs, and transformation priorities.
  • Establish experience standards, governance, and cross-functional alignment across product, design, engineering, marketing, operations, and membership.
  • Create journey maps, service blueprints, and ecosystem views to identify gaps and dependencies.
  • Measure and improve experience performance through business and operational metrics.
  • Lead innovation initiatives, including personalization, AI-powered shopping, search, fulfillment, automation, and checkout improvements.
  • Turn customer insights into strategic priorities and multi-year roadmaps.

  • E-commerce growth & systems thinking: Deep understanding of experience drivers across acquisition, discovery, conversion, basket building, fufillment and retention.
  • Omni-channel commerce: Connects digital journeys with fulfillment, returns, pickup, delivery, and customer care.
  • Workshop facilitation: Leads cross-functional sessions to align teams, uncover opportunities, and accelerate decisions.
  • Storytelling: Creates executive narratives that clarify vision, priorities, tradeoffs, and risks.
  • Concept creation: Develops prototypes and proof-of-concepts to align stakeholders around a vision.
  • Insight-to-roadmap translation: Turns research and analytics into priorities and investment cases.
  • Experimentation & innovation: Runs scalable pilots and applies AI to improve shopping, personalization, search, support, and research.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
