Full Job Description
We are seeking a Distinguished Engineer of Production Silicon Diagnostics to elevate production ATPG and memory diagnostics into an outstanding production system for yield learning, failure analysis (FA), and product ramp! This role will define and drive the strategy, methodology, platform integration, team structure, and multi-functional operating model required to make diagnostics a central engine for silicon learning.

This role is especially significant as we introduce products into advanced process technologies, including backside power delivery, where traditional debug, defect localization, and physical FA workflows become increasingly sophisticated! The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in production diagnostics, DFT, test, FA, yield/reliability learning, automation, and multi-functional technical leadership.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Define and lead the strategy for NVIDIA's production diagnostics, covering ATPG and memory diagnostics, with an emphasis on yield/reliability learning, ramp acceleration, FA efficiency, and production scalability
  • Establish the multi-functional operating model required to make diagnostics a scalable capability across design, DFT, test, product engineering, FA, yield, foundry, and EDA partners
  • Drive advanced diagnostic capabilities for next-generation product ramps, including backside power technology, where physical debug, defect localization, and yield learning are increasingly complex
  • Standardize and automate end-to-end diagnostics flows to improve repeatability, efficiency, diagnostic quality, and time-to-root-cause
  • Connect diagnostic signatures, failure classifications, physical FA results, product learning, and foundry feedback into a closed-loop production yield-learning system
  • Build diagnostic-friendly design and DFT practices while connecting prototype methods and sophisticated debug techniques into our production diagnostics platform

What We Need to See
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 20+ overall years of experience in semiconductor engineering, production diagnostics, DFT, test, silicon debug, FA, yield learning, or related post-silicon subject areas
  • 12+ years of technical leadership and people management experience, including building new engineering capabilities, mentoring senior technical talent, and scaling high-impact teams
  • Deep expertise in ATPG diagnostics, memory diagnostics, production test data, diagnostic automation, and high-volume production debug or yield-learning flows

Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd
  • Demonstrated end-to-end creation and ownership of high-volume production diagnostics infrastructure for advanced-node technologies, complex SoCs, or advanced semiconductor products
  • Deep understanding of how design, DFT, test, diagnostics, FA, yield, foundry, and analytical workflows connect to accelerate yield learning and address performance, reliability, and quality challenges
  • Proven track record to influence diagnostic-friendly design and DFT practices, including test content, observability, controllability, debug hooks, and silicon learning requirements
  • Experience connecting diagnostic signatures to physical defect mechanisms, FA outcomes, foundry learning, and measurable production yield improvement

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 272,000 USD - 425,500 USD.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.

Applications for this job will be accepted at least until July 13, 2026.
