Opportunity OverviewThe Chief Investment Officer provides enterprise leadership for the Trust Company's investment strategy and fiduciary investment platform, translating trust strategy into coordinated plans for investment products, portfolio management, asset allocation, manager oversight, governance, and client delivery. The role establishes and oversees investment operating routines that support prudent trust lifecycle decisions, documented fiduciary judgment, portfolio implementation, performance oversight, and escalation of investment issues. The Chief Investment Officer leads the resolution of complex investment, business, control, service, and partner matters that may affect portfolio quality, fiduciary standards, regulatory readiness, or client experience, and sponsors improvements that strengthen investment documentation, governance evidence, process scalability, and coordination with trust administration, fiduciary and other partners. In close partnership with administration, risk, legal, compliance, operations, product, and client-facing leaders, the role ensures that investment practices remain aligned with governing documents, fiduciary obligations, client objectives, and the Trust Company's strategic priorities.
Primary Enterprise Accountabilities- Define and translate the Trust Company's investment philosophy and strategy into scalable portfolio, product, governance, and service delivery plans.
- Oversee investment governance and operating routines, including asset allocation, portfolio construction, implementation, monitoring, performance evaluation, manager oversight, exceptions, and escalation.
- Ensure investment decisions and recommendations reflect governing documents, fiduciary standards, client objectives, risk parameters, liquidity needs, and applicable policies.
- Drive resolution of investment performance, concentration, suitability, product, control, service, and partner issues that could weaken fiduciary quality or client outcomes.
- Sponsor enhancements to investment policies, committee materials, decision documentation, governance evidence, analytics, technology enablement, and portfolio management processes.
- Promote disciplined investment judgment, constructive challenge, role clarity, and capability across investment teams and multidisciplinary trust partners.

- Drives resolution of business, control, service, and partner issues affecting trust quality, regulatory readiness, or client experience.
- Sponsors improvements to trust documentation, process scalability, governance evidence, and partner coordination within assigned areas.
Position Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Investments, Business Administration, or related field; MBA, Master's in Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of institutional investment management, wealth management, trust investment, or fiduciary investment leadership experience.
- CFA® designation strongly preferred.
