Reporting to the Vice President of Clinical Services, Quality and Corporate Affairs, the Director of Quality and Risk
Management provides strategic and operational leadership for the Hospital's quality, patient safety, integrated risk
management, corporate compliance, and continuous improvement programs. The Director of Quality and Risk
Management supports the Board of Directors, collaborates with all levels of leadership throughout the organization,
chairs the operational Quality of Care Committee, and co-chairs the Hospital's Ethics Committee.

The Director of Quality and Risk Management leads the development, implementation and evaluation of the
Hospital's Quality Framework, annual Quality Improvement Plan and Integrated Risk Management Framework,
ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, legislative requirements, Accreditation Canada standards, and
leading practices. The Director of Quality and Risk Management is also accountable for the oversight of the
Hospital's complaints management process, ensuring complaints are managed in a fair, timely, compassionate and
transparent manner, while identifying opportunities for organizational learning and system improvement.

Acting as the primary champion for quality and risk management, the Director of Quality and Risk Management
fosters a culture of safety, learning and continuous improvement. The role provides leadership in identifying and
mitigating organizational risk, strengthening patient safety systems, reducing legal exposure, coordinating claims
management processes, monitoring quality indicators, and advancing evidence-informed improvement initiatives that
enhance patient outcomes and experiences.

This role requires a collaborative, strategic and innovative leader who excels in systems thinking, builds strong
relationships across the organization, and inspires teams to achieve excellence through continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education
* Bachelors degree in health administration or another relevant health-related discipline (Masters preferred);
* Knowledge of Accreditation Canada standards, criteria and processes; and
* Certification in Lean or related quality improvement methodology is considered an asset.

Experience
* Minimum five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in quality, patient safety, risk management, clinical
operations or a related healthcare leadership role;
* Demonstrated experience leading quality improvement, patient safety and organizational change initiatives within a
complex healthcare environment; and
* Experience working with senior leadership, professional staff and interprofessional teams is preferred.

Knowledge
* Understanding of current health care environment and its challenges;
* Understanding of underlying principles in health ethics;
* Thorough knowledge of clinical and operational issues, interrelationships and interdependency;
* In depth knowledge of care processes, decision making, quality control, process improvement, and clinical
information systems;
* In depth knowledge of quality management, implementation science, risk management, change management and
project management;
* Understands program development.

Salary Range: $75.510 to 94.380
