Full Job Description
The Director - System Organizational Effectiveness & Development role has system-wide responsibility for Aspirus learning and development programs and serves as a consultant to learning leaders and professionals across the system. Provides leadership for and directs the activities of organizational effectiveness, leadership training and development for management (direct responsibility), and physicians (in collaboration with Medical Group Leadership) responsible for developing a system-wide succession planning process for leadership at all levels; introduces and integrates effective change management skills within the organization; supports and provides guidance for the development of a positive culture within Aspirus which fosters excellence in care and service; consult with leaders regarding organizational design; provides guidance to leaders across the organization in building effective teams.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Knowledge of healthcare educational services and adult learning principles is normally acquired through completion of a Master's degree in Adult Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Five-seven years' leadership/management experience required.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience with learning technologies (Learning Management and HRIS systems).
  • Experience in project management and implementing programs across a wide employee base and multiple locations.
  • Experience scaling processes and identifying when processes need to be improved.
  • Understanding of organizational design principles.
  • Critical thinking, analytical and problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills, detail oriented and can see the big picture over time spans of 1 to 5 years.
  • Practices discernment and explore consequences when making decisions.
  • Strong skills in the competencies of organizational savvy, coaching and developing others, continuous improvement, communicating, and leading change.
  • Provide effective leadership: promote teamwork, and a demonstrated ability to lead people to achieve organizational goals, ability to adapt readily to changing healthcare environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to form relationships and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess both quantitative and qualitative data to inform decision making and program design.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Strong technology skills and experience required.
