Summary:
As Surveillance Director, you lead the Surveillance division's operations and strategy to protect the property's integrity. You oversee the detection and reporting of illegal activities, ensure ongoing team training on gaming regulations and fraud prevention, and collaborate with leadership to develop policies that minimize risk and maintain compliance. Your role is vital in safeguarding a secure and trustworthy gaming environment.

Job Description:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of assigned department(s), ensuring alignment with company vision, financial goals, and service standards
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing leadership teams and team members to foster engagement, accountability, and professional growth
  • Lead the execution of company and departmental initiatives by converting strategic objectives into actionable plans with defined performance indicators
  • Monitor and manage budgets, resources, and operational performance metrics; drive cost-efficiency while maintaining quality and compliance
  • Serve as a key liaison with internal stakeholders and external partners to align departmental efforts with enterprise-wide priorities
  • Promote a strong guest service culture by designing and maintaining service standards and resolving escalated concerns with sound judgment
  • Develop and implement staffing plans to provide appropriate labor to meet guest service and operational expectations
  • Monitor departments in-person and via surveillance technology to proactively identify potential risks of theft, gaming violations, or irregularities
  • Audit departmental strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard the company from identified risks
  • Stay current on new surveillance technology and emerging gaming cheats or fraudulent practices
  • Research, review, demo, select, and implement new equipment as necessary to maintain department effectiveness and compliance
  • Utilize approved equipment to identify, record, document, and report illegal and unusual activities throughout gaming, non-gaming, and back-of-house areas
  • Report all illegal and unusual activities to appropriate authorities promptly

  • Oversee payroll and related administrative duties to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • 5 years of surveillance experience; includes leadership or progressive responsibility in gaming surveillance operations required
  • Demonstrated success in leading large teams, multi-unit operations, or high-impact projects
  • Exceptional decision-making, planning, and analytical skills with a track record of achieving measurable business goals
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication abilities to lead change and influence outcomes across all levels of the organization
  • Adept at navigating ambiguity and adapting leadership style to dynamic business needs

  • Thorough knowledge of Gaming Minimum Internal Casino Standards, local jurisdictional gaming laws, and Nevada Revised Statutes

  • Current knowledge of surveillance technology and gaming cheat detection methods
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiar with analytics tools and business intelligence platforms


Requirements

  • This position is classified as safety-sensitive and requires successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening, including testing for marijuana
  • At least 21 Years of Age
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
  • Verify right to work in the United States
