Description

Collaborate with other managers to determine supply needs, managing procurement process, receiving & warehousing procedures, overseeing distribution of relevant supplies throughout the organization and inventory control. The position will supervise, evaluate and coach subordinates, maintain and negotiate relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders and ensure robust logistical planning and forecasting is in place to meet the organizations materials needs.

Essential Functions:
  • Ensures that the procurement of materials, equipment, supplies, and services are consistent with the policies and standards of quality, quantity, and expediency by establishing and directing the overall purchasing program and procedures.
  • Establishes the best possible supply sources with lowest prices commensurate with on time deliveries of materials and services. Ensure effective daily distribution operations by analyzing market and environmental trends, developing strategies, goals and standards, and directing team efforts to maximize productivity, safety, and resource utilization by locating new supply sources
  • Ensures that customers' needs are met; develops positive relationships with customers & vendors
  • Assures that inventory and supplies on the floor are adequate to meet customer needs by overseeing warehousing operations, using reports, and observation. Reviewing key operating indicators, ensuring efficient operation.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant management experience, preferably in warehousing and logistics.
  • Familiar with supply chain, inventory management and ERP systems.
  • Proven understanding of forecasting and budgeting with proven attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of new trends in the field of warehousing, logistics and purchasing and their implications for adding value and enhancing customer services.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills including experience in project management, workflow design and is a problem solver.
  • Fluent in the English language, both orally and business writing skills.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of supervision, training people management.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree.


Work Schedule:
To Be Determined (40 Hours per week)
