Director within the National Sales job family. Participates with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on implementation and ensures operational effectiveness. Effectively cascades functional strategy and contributes to development of organizational policies. Accountable for actions that impact function or multiple department budgets. Complexity & Problem Solving: Works on complex issues where problems are not clearly defined and where fundamental principles do not fully apply. Translates business segment strategy into functional plans and guides execution. Participates in OpCo development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. Ensures budgets and schedules meet OpCo requirements. Discretion & Impact: Contributes to development of strategies of a function or multi departments. Erroneous decisions will have a critical long term (typically up to five years) impact on the overall success of function or multi departments. Collaboration & Interaction: Interacts with senior management, executives, and/or major customers which frequently involves negotiating matters of significance to the organization. Reconciles multiple stakeholder views to drive business results. Management & Supervision: Directs the activities of a functional area or multiple integrated departments through lower management. Leads team(s) to develop new methods and solve complex matters.
Director (Salaried People Manager with at least 1 direct report.)
Position Requirements- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- 8-12 years of progressive, relevant business experience.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering results in a financially driven, performance-oriented culture.
- Proven success in strategic planning, including the use of metrics, KPIs, and countermeasures.
- Strong command of budgeting, accounting, and financial principles, including forecasting, performance measurement, and reporting.
- Practical application of Lean principles to drive operational excellence.
- Demonstrated leadership development capabilities, including successful mentoring and talent growth.
- Experience building employee engagement with measurable outcomes and specific tools utilized.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make sound, decisive judgments.
- Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time.
- Positive, can-do attitude with a collaborative and energizing approach to leadership.
