JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Technology Strategy, Change & Communications is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping, translating, and enabling execution of enterprise technology strategy through disciplined planning, effective change management, and clear communications. Reporting to the Head of Technology Strategy & Transformation, this role operates as a key member of the broader Technology Strategy & Transformation leadership team and serves as a trusted partner to the CTO and Technology Leadership Team.

The role is accountable for ensuring technology strategy is not only well-defined, but clearly articulated, consistently understood, and successfully adopted across the organization. Success is measured by clarity of direction, alignment across planning and execution, adoption of change, and increased stakeholder confidence in Technology’s ability to deliver enterprise value.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with the Head of Technology Strategy & Transformation to support definition, refinement, and operationalization of multi-year technology strategy aligned to enterprise objectives.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps, initiatives, measures, and targets that can be executed across Technology.
  • Lead or support annual and multi-year technology planning processes, including strategy refreshes, objective setting, and initiative prioritization.
  • Develop executive-ready materials (one-pagers, decks, narratives) to communicate strategy, progress, and trade-offs to the CTO, ELT, and business leaders.
  • Ensure strategic plans are grounded in execution realities, financial constraints, and resourcing capacity.
  • Design and lead the change management approach for Technology initiatives, transformations, and operating model shifts in partnership with the Head of Technology Strategy & Transformation.
  • Ensure consistent application of change practices across programs, including stakeholder analysis, impact assessments, readiness planning, and adoption tracking.
  • Partner closely with PMO, Product, Platform, and Engineering leaders to embed change management into delivery rather than treating it as a standalone activity.
  • Monitor change saturation and organizational readiness, escalating risks and recommending mitigation actions.
  • Establish mechanisms to measure adoption, realization of intended outcomes, and employee experience impact.
  • Own and execute the Technology communications strategy, ensuring consistent, clear, and compelling messaging aligned to strategic priorities.
  • Draft and deliver communications for executives, leaders, and the broader Technology organization, including strategy updates, transformation milestones, operating model changes, and cultural initiatives.
  • Prepare leadership talking points, Q&A, and narratives for forums such as ELT, town halls, and leadership meetings.
  • Ensure communications reinforce Technology vision, priorities, and a strong “one team” culture.
  • Partner with the Head of Technology Strategy & Transformation, PMO, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment across governance forums and Rhythms of the Business (ROBs).
  • Ensure strategic priorities are reflected consistently across planning, funding, capacity management, and delivery tracking.
  • Identify misalignments, decision gaps, or execution risks and proactively drive resolution.
  • Contribute to the maturation of Technology operating disciplines, including prioritization, portfolio transparency, and execution accountability.
  • Lead and develop a team supporting strategy, change, and communications capabilities, aligned to the broader Strategy & Transformation organization.
  • Set clear expectations, development goals, and performance standards for team members.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, transparency, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Other Job Duties as needed
