Job Summary:
The Director, Strategy Planning & Execution, MedTech Surgery will build Americas (U.S, LATAM & Canada) Commercial (including all Business Units, Marketing and Sales organization reporting to the President) - strategic capabilities to execute against both business and talent goals. Oversees the overall design, development, and communication of planning activities that ensure market competitiveness and organizational excellence. The Director will be responsible for defining and executing critical business and strategic planning, cross-functional partner connectedness, coordinating commercial analytics and scorecard, and special projects as respective to the current business solves necessary for the operating year. In this role, the Director, will need to partner with Platform and Functional Sales and Marketing leaders, Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, R&D partners to assure on-track execution of enterprise KPIs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Partnering with the Americas Leadership, lead and execute operational monthly governance for overarching Americas Surgery Commercial Business, to ensure both Americas President, Leadership Team, and Cross-functional teammates connectedness and alignment against financial, business, and talent goals.
- Establish an inter analytical framework and Americas scorecard that deliver real-time, integrated insights across the business - leading indicators, after actions reviews, counter measures, informed go-to-market decisions and achievement of current-year KPIs and the organization’s mid- to long-term goals.
- Work in collaboration with. Americas Finance, Human Resources, Marketing and Sales partners to execute annual, JU, and NU and Headcount resource allocation and business planning processes.
- Work in conjunction with. Americas Communications Lead to ensure timely, proactive and informed touchpoints of Americas President and respective leadership team messaging to the greater organization including quarterly business memos.
- Execute regular connectedness with across MedTech & J&J Strategy heads to identify and participate in informed outputs of the Americas business and participation in enterprise initiatives as appropriate
- As appropriate, inform and manage organizational deployment structure to remain on track to attain Americas business and talent goals
- Support the respective workstream DRI commercial partners and participate in the success of regular annual organizational commercial meetings, including but not limited to National Training Meeting, Commercial Sales Leadership Meeting, and Commercial Leadership Meetings.
- Drive strategic partnering with MedTech Education to further enable sales force effectiveness and external customer connectedness across the enterprise.
- On behalf of the Americas President, drive a shared accountability and execution across commercial and supply partners of both short- and long-term enterprise supply initiatives to ensure continuity of the Americas business.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant business experience (Sales/Marketing) is required. Ethicon portfolio knowledge is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years Sales and/or Marketing Experience is required.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. MBA preferred.
- Industry experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Ability to navigate and achieve business impact across a highly-matrixed organization is required
- Demonstrated knowledge of brand marketing, customer segmentation and marketing communications is preferred.
- Experience in customer selling and interaction is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, project management and organizational influence skills are required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with emphasis on leadership, relationship development and influence management required.
- This position will be based in Raritan, NJ and requires up to 25-30% travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$150,000.00 - $258,750.00
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
