Summary

The Director of Stock Systems & Reconciliation is responsible for the synchronization and reliability of stock positions across SalonCentric's entire omnichannel network. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on technical expertise to ensure that physical inventory and digital records remain in perfect synchronization. This strategic, hands-on leader serves as the subject matter expert for inventory integrity, maintaining the rigorous accuracy required for seamless replenishment and flawless order fulfillment ensuring a superior experience for our customers.

As a critical bridge between Finance, IT, Supply Chain etc., the Director oversees the end-to-end reconciliation of stock movement. They are responsible for diagnosing complex transactional gaps, partnering with IT to resolve data-flow discrepancies, and driving operational excellence to safeguard the customer experience.

Position Responsibilities

Operational Excellence and Oversight
  • Lead the day-to-day analysis and reconciliation of inventory data, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives and SalonCentric's standards of excellence.
  • Perform complex analysis of transactions across multiple systems and partner cross-functionally to ensure operational excellence and data integrity.
  • Provide high-level analytical support for special projects and ad hoc requests from senior management, contributing insights that align with SalonCentric's organizational goals.
System Integrity & Process Improvement
  • Identify, develop and implement transformative process improvements that enhance efficiency and support strategic decision-making.
  • Independently monitor and analyze inventory transactions and trends to maintain consistency across systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and drive solutions ensuring the accuracy of stock-movements relative to financial postings and sales revenue.
Collaboration & Subject Matter Expertise
  • Partner with leadership to develop and establish KPIs and standardized procedures (SOP's) for the functional area.
  • Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) and point of contact for tracking and communicating inventory-related issues across Finance, IT, Operations, Supply Chain etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to document system requirements and troubleshoot complex data discrepancies.
Analytics & Reporting
  • Design, create, and maintain effective dashboards and reporting solutions for various stakeholders.
  • Proactively develop new analytical tools and data-backed recommendations as the business evolves.
  • Synthesize operational data to identify challenges and gather relevant information for executive-level visibility.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 7-10+ years of experience in an accounting, finance, or audit environment.
  • Relevant experience within L'Oreal is a plus.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects or processes independently.
Position Requirements

Technical Skills
  • Deep understanding of inventory accounting and the impact of inventory transactions on the General Ledger.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; working knowledge of SQL for large data analysis is highly preferred.
  • Experience with POS, WMS, OMS and related systems (e.g., SAP, GK, Azure PaaS, ELK/Elasticsearch) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain automated dashboards and reporting solutions.
Communication & Collaboration
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to integrate accounting principles with IT and business processes.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 5%).
